Lake Superior State Park, NY
Park Information
Lake Superior State Park was added to PIPC's network of parks in 1968. Located in Sullivan County, about 20 miles west of Monticello, this 1049-acre park is endowed with two exquisite lakes – Lake Superior and Chestnut Hill Pond. The park is managed jointly with the Sullivan County Department of Public Works.

Things To Do & See
Lake Superior features a swimming area, sand beach, picnic areas with grills, group picnic pavilion, rowboat and paddle boat rentals, boat launch, full-service food concession, restrooms, shower/changing area, and volleyball court.

Lake Superior is one of only four PIPC parks where deer hunting is allowed.

The beach area at Lake Superior State Park contains an area for swimming as well as a sand beach. A bathhouse with showers is available for your convenience.
If you have your own boat, Lake Superior maintains a boat launch which can be used with a permit. Paddleboat and rowboat rentals are also available.
Lake Superior also sports a volleyball court, shoudl you wish to be active during your visit to the park.
There is a covered pavilion at Lake Superior for group picnics as well as grills. Lake Superior is a beautiful place to have a picnic.
Lake Superior provides full service concessions, should you wish to purchase food and drinks during your trip.
