Due to conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy, Nyack Beach State Park will remain closed until further notice. Entrance into the park is strictly prohibited at this time as construction to the river trail and parking lot are currently taking place. Nyack Beach State Park is one of four parks in the Hook Mountain section of the Palisades region. It consists of 76 acres at the base of Hook Mountain in Upper Nyack. It is the southern terminus of the first section of the Hudson River Greenway and is one of the best hawk and raptor viewing areas in the U.S. Hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, and cross-country skiing are among the activities popular here.
The US Department of the Interior has listed Nyack Beach State Park as a Registered National Natural Historical Landmark.
Seasons/Hours: Open year round for day use.
