Minnewaska Preserve, NY

Take the New York State Thruway north to the New Paltz Exit No. 18. Turn onto Rt. 299 west and proceed thru the Village of New Paltz. At the end of Rt. 299, make a right turn onto Rt. 44/55 and proceed approximately 5 miles west of the Rtes. 44/55 and 299 intersection in New Paltz (NY Thruway/I-87, Exit 18) to the Main Gate on the left-hand side. Follow signs to visitor areas:

Upper Parking - through Main Gate, up main road about one mile Awosting - 300 yards west of Main Gate
Jenny Lane - one mile west of Main Gate
Peter's Kill - one mile east of Main Gate
Nature Center – in the Yurt by the Upper Parking Area
