WHERE: Harriman State Park - one of four (4) Regional Nature Museums

WHAT:
Design, construct, maintain, and interpret living and static exhibits in
small satellite museums located throughout Harriman State Park. Conduct
museum tours and nature programs for children. WHEN: Ten-week period,
starting June 19 - late August.

WHY:
Pay is $7.15 per hour, for a 40 hour work week. Monday through Friday
schedule, with some flexibility. Evening programming is required at least 2 nights
per week. Free cabin to share with Co-director. Training in Outdoor Education
including Project Wet and Project Wild. Experience with exhibit design, animal care,
and continuing in house education opportunities.

WHO:
College graduates or majors in the fields of Environmental Science, Natural History,
Science Education, Outdoor/Environmental Education, Conservation, etc..
Experience in nature center or nature education may be substituted for above. Candidates
must possess a valid US drivers licence, be at least 19 years of age, have a
working knowledge of New York State flora and fauna must be able to work
with young inter-city youth and be able to handle small animals. You must
be flexible and have an eagerness to try new adventures. Art skills a
definite plus.
