With weather like today, there is no excuse not to get out there and enjoy the outdoors. Here are few things to enjoy without breaking the bank.

Tallman Mountain State Park

With commanding views of Piermont and Westchester County, meandering trails and scenic beauty that rivals any State or National Park, Tallman Mountain State Park is a great way to spend a day on a leisurely hike or bike ride and best of all, its free.

Bear Mountain / West Point / Stony Point

Three great places to visit in one corner of the county. You can see the might and history of the military of this great nation with a visit to the Stony Point Battle Field and West Point. Sunday brunch at the Thayer Hotel is a real thrill and the food is great. If the outdoors are what you seek, then Bear Mountain and the Seven Lakes Region is a great place to visit. Lakes, Mountains, Forests all surround this playground neatly tucked alongside the Hudson River and short drive from nearby Haverstraw- the place where most of the bricks used to build New York City came from and a mere 30 miles from midtown NYC.
