Join Palisades Parks Conservancy, Event Power, and sponsors Benzel-Busch Motor Car Corp., The Record, Mack-Cali, NY Waterway, Norwood EMS and Fire, Elisabeth Morrow School, Fort Lee Fire Department, Cheribundi, MotoACTV, Eastern Mountain Sports, Hotvelociti, Tate’s Bake Shop of Southampton, PODS, Walgreens, Lap4Life, Norwood Chiefs Baseball, The NJ Citizens Advisory Council, and Employees of Palisades Interstate Park Commission on Sunday, May 6th for the Inaugural Escape to the Palisades Half Marathon and 5K run. Enjoy a fun spring day of exercise, music from Stolen Heart band, refreshments, prizes, and the chance to raise money for a wonderful cause.
The course boasts stunning views of the Palisades cliffs, the Hudson River, and Manhattan skyline along the historic Hudson River Drive. The Half-Marathon starts at 9:00 AM from Ross Dock park in Fort Lee, NJ. The 5K starts immediately after the half-marathon.
Race-day registration is from 7:00am to 8:30am
Free t-shirts and gift bags will go to the registrants and post-race refreshments will be provided.
The Stolen Heart band will get you up and dancing away the pain in those sore muscles until 1:00 pm.
The day promises to be be plenty sunny and the view is fabulous.
Prizes and certificates will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female runners in the half-marathon. The top 3 male and female runners in each age division of the 5K race will receive recognition. There will also be a post-race raffle following the awards.
The half-marathon and 5K are USATF sanctioned and the race will be timed with electronic timing–chips.
